In it’s 12th year, the Juneteenth Jazz Festival delivers a weekend of entertainment to Arcosanti in central Arizona!
The Juneteenth Jazz Festival offers live jazz, blues, reggae, gospel and other entertainment, arts and crafts, hiking, food vendors, and more on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 – 20, 2010 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Arcosanti.
Brought to you by the Prescott Jazz Society, daily tickets are available at the door for $10/adult, $5 for teens, and kids are free. VIP and overnight packages are available for $25 - $95, call 928-237-7908 for more information about the Festival.
The whole family will enjoy live music as it fills the stunning architecture of Arcosanti amidst a beautiful canyon landscape. This year’s lineup includes returning artists The Cunninghams, Henry Turner Jr. and Flavor, The New Cannonfire Ensemble, as well as appearances from Aisha and other guest artists. Chairs are provided, but feel free to bring a blanket and curl up to the music.
Arcosanti is located about 65 miles north of Phoenix just off Interstate 17 at exit 262 (Cordes Junction). Tours are offered daily at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm. Arcosanti is a project of the Cosanti Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to education through the construction of Arcosanti as a testing ground for arcology, the fusion of architecture and ecology. As an urban laboratory, Arcosanti seeks to reduce human impact on the environment while improving quality of life. Located in the high desert of central Arizona, about one hour north of Phoenix, Arcosanti is located 65 miles north of Phoenix. Take exit 262 off I-17 and follow the signs for Arcosanti. World famous Soleri ceramic and bronze bells are produced and sold on site.
